2024 was wild..

Happy New Year everyone! As we say goodbye to 2024, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the past year and all the amazing tech that came with it. It's been an incredible year for the channel, hitting a mind-blowing 6 million views! Thank you all so much for your support.

To celebrate, let's take a trip down memory lane and revisit some of the biggest videos and events of 2024, month by month.

January

The year started off a bit slow in the tech world, but Surface Duo kept us entertained! We explored how users felt about their Duo in the new year and even dove into installing Windows on the device with a new, easier method. The photo of the month for January is this drone shot I took of the ice storm that kept us locked up for a week. I do not miss that..

February

February was all about retro handheld gaming with the RG35xx. We tackled unbricking the device and explored alternative operating systems like Batocera Lite. While these videos performed well, I confess my passion for gaming is slowly fading. This awesome shot of the Knoxville Civic Coliseum during a UT Vols game is my favorite memory from February!

March

March saw the rise of the Meta Quest 3, with a popular video on sideloading Android apps. We also covered Google's exciting move to enable video out on the Pixel 8 and the unfortunate reports of some Z Fold users experiencing hinge issues. But the real winner this month was the breakdown of the top 9 Galaxy AI features in One UI 6.1. Spring was in the air, and this photo of Rose by the lake perfectly captures the feeling!

April

The OnePlus Open dominated April with my in-depth review of this fantastic foldable. And who could forget the incredible eclipse on April 8th? This shot was taken with the OnePlus Open. Truly something special.

May

May brought us the surprisingly impressive Walmart ONN streaming box, a Google TV device that exceeded all expectations. We also experienced a massive hailstorm that ultimately led to a new roof on my house! Talk about an unexpected upgrade.

June

June marked the one-year anniversary of the original Pixel Fold, and unfortunately, my own device suffered a cracked inner screen. Despite this setback, it remains one of my all-time favorite devices. We also explored the fascinating world of e-ink devices with the Boox Go Color 7. This photo from our family trip to Dollywood perfectly captures the vibe of that month.

July

July was the month of the Galaxy Z Fold 6! From unboxing and first impressions to tips and tricks and in-depth reviews, we covered it all. But the highlight of July was welcoming our third dog, Jet, to the family!

August

August saw a showdown between the Z Fold 6 and the OnePlus Open in a multitasking comparison. The Pixel 9 series also made its grand entrance, with videos covering the announcement, benchmarks, and even some negative news about declining Z Fold 6 sales. This photo from the scorching first game of the season at Neyland Stadium brings back memories of that intense heat!

September

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold took center stage in September, with videos covering first impressions, in-depth reviews, and accessory recommendations. My reaction to the Huawei Mate X3 Ultra unexpectedly blew up, proving that there's always an audience for innovative foldable tech. This photo from our anniversary trip to the McClung Museum is an easy choice for the photo of the month.

October

October brought us the one-year review of the OnePlus Open and the exciting announcement of the Z Fold 6 special edition. But the most unforgettable moment was witnessing the Northern Lights here in Knoxville. I still can’t believe I was able to see this with my own two eyes and capture this shot with my Pixel 9 Pro XL.

November

Things started to wind down in November, with content focused on the Pixel 9 Pro Fold's long-term performance and news about Google's software plans. This photo of Jet cozying up in her self-dug den perfectly captures the chill vibes of November.

December

December was relatively quiet, with the main highlight being the release of Oxygen OS 15 (Android 15) for the OnePlus Open. This festive photo of Rutherford in front of the Christmas tree wraps up the year perfectly.

Looking Ahead

2024 was a fantastic year filled with exciting tech, personal milestones, and incredible support from all of you. I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to do what I love and share my passion with such an amazing community. Here's to an even better 2025! Thanks for watching, and stay nerdy, my friends!
