Biggest OnePlus Open 2 Leaks Yet Reveals HUGE Details

The rumor mill is churning, and it's spitting out some exciting news about the OnePlus Open 2! Smartprix.com recently dropped some exclusive information, including a first look at the design refresh. And guys, let me tell you, this thing is shaping up to be a beast.

Design Tweaks

At first glance, the Open 2 might not look drastically different from its predecessor. But upon closer inspection, you'll notice some key changes. The cameras have been rearranged on the camera bump, now sitting up top instead of on the side. The bump itself might be slightly smaller, but it's hard to say for sure based on the renders. More notably, the power button/fingerprint scanner and volume rocker have been moved lower down the body, addressing a common complaint about the original Open.

Bigger and Better Displays

While the overall look of the displays remains similar, both the inner and cover displays are getting a size boost. The inner display jumps from 7.82 inches to a full 8 inches, matching the Pixel Fold. The cover display also gets a bump, going from 6.31 inches to 6.4 inches.

Insane Specs

But the real jaw-dropper is the rumored specs. Hold on to your hats, folks:

  • Battery: A massive 5900mAh battery, up from 4800mAh in the original Open.

  • Charging: 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging! That's right, wireless charging that's twice as fast as the wired charging on the Z Fold 6 and Pixel Fold.

  • Thickness: Under 10mm thick when open.

If these specs hold true, the OnePlus Open 2 will be an absolute powerhouse.

Release Date

The latest rumors point to a Q1 2025 release date, which aligns with earlier predictions.

Lingering Questions

Of course, we still have some questions. What does the cover display look like? Will there be a textured finish option like the original Open? And most importantly, what about the price?

The Competition is Heating Up

One thing's for sure: with its impressive specs and sleek design, the OnePlus Open 2 is setting the bar high for foldable phones. Samsung and Google will have their work cut out for them if they want to compete with this beast.
