What’s New?

One of the first things I noticed about the Razr 60 that Alexis was lucky enough to get his hands on was the finish. In the past Moto has used some non-standard finishes on their devices and that continues here. This 60 Ultra seems to have a faux leather look that should be quite grippy. Beyond that, the design does look very similar to last year. You get the same large 4-inch cover display with dual 50MP cameras cut out of the corner. One notable change there is that they’ve swapped the 2x optical zoom for an ultrawide.

Honestly, this makes sense as the 50mp primary should be more than capable of handling 2x zoom already.

Of course the internals get the yearly refresh to the latest Snapdragon soc, in this case we have the 8 Elite which has been superb in my testing on other devices.

The crease does continue to look quite nice on the 60 Ultra as well. While it is fairly broad, it seems quite shallow as well, which is appreciated. In direct viewing it seems very hard to notice.

This new Razr also picks up the new Moto AI Key on the left side which allows users to do several AI related tasks like summarizing your notifications, taking notes or generating images.

Pricing

A significant unknown is its US price. Recent rumors placed the European price around €1,350 for a model with 512GB storage and 12GB RAM. While this European price currently translates to over $1,500, it’s hard to know at this moment what that even means. Nevertheless, there's a strong possibility that the US price of the Razr+ (2025) will exceed that of its 2024 predecessor.
