OnePlus Open Update 15.0.0.410 is LIVE in North America

As we inch closer and closer to the announcement of the OnePlus Open 2, it’s clear that OnePlus hasn’t yet forgotten about the original. Update 15.0.0.410 is now live in North America, bringing with it quite a few nice enhancements.

The Changelog

The changelog that appears on device during the update is a bit strange, with one section repeating itself and the rest apparently repeating features listed for the earlier Oxygen OS 15 update. Instead, let’s look at the changelog posted on the OnePlus Community forum because it seems like it lists the actual new stuff.

Integrated AI features

  • Introduces the AI Reply feature to recommend replies based on the chat context with support for diverse language styles, making the responses more natural.

  • Introduces the AI check feature to check grammar, spelling, typos, punctuation, and more, for effortless and accurate writing.

  • Introduces the AI rewrite feature to extend, shorten, expand, and edit your text and modify the style for more efficient and inspired writing.

Camera

  • Adds Fresh, Emerald, and Clear film filters to Photo mode and Portrait mode.

System

  • Now you can see the status of the flashlight on Live Alerts.

  • Now you can see the charging information on Live Alerts.

  • Now you can drag a floating window to change it to full screen.

  • Fixes a display issue with existing icons on the status bar when a Live Alerts capsule is displayed.

  • Improves system stability for some scenarios.

  • Extends battery life in some scenarios.

  • Integrates the January 2025 Android security patch to enhance system security.

  • Fixes a screen flicker issue in some scenarios.

A Few Notes

Several of these are certainly welcome changes for me, but they aren’t without issue. The AI Summarize and AI Speak have both been a bit finicky, sometimes needing to be triggered twice to run. The writing tools seem to only be available with specific apps, so if you’re planning to use them in Google Keep or Threads (where I tested them at first), that’s a no go. Overall, this seems like a standard OnePlus update - the changelog is weird, some of the features are a bit inconsistent, but when they work they work well.
