Oppo Find N5 15.0.1.831 Update is Live!
Oppo has begun rolling out a new software update for the Oppo Find N5 in North America. As usual, this update landed on the China ROM models a while back before starting the rollout in other regions. I think the most notable new feature is the inclusion of the Remote Control option in the Windows version of the O+ Connect app. While the app does still have some rough edges, it’s still great to see them add the Remote Desktop Feature that Mac users have had for a while now.
Update: I managed to get the remote control feature to work once and then never again. O+ Connect continues to be a dumpster fire on Windows.
Communication & Interconnection
Adds remote control support for Windows PC. You can now control your PC and access PC files remotely with your mobile device.
Improves the cellular network algorithm for smoother network connections.
Apps
Adds the Drag & drop feature that allows you to use the gesture to perform actions on images and text in third-party apps. You can change the settings for this feature in "Settings - Accessibility & convenience - Drag & drop".
You can now use fuzzy search with space in Settings.
You can now search for app names in Settings to quickly view app details or manage the app.
Optimizes the search result display order in Settings.
Multimedia
Adds the Speaker cleaner feature which can clean speakers and ensure optimal speaker performance. You can change the settings for this feature in "Phone Manager - Tools - More - Accessibility & convenience - Speaker cleaner".
System
Improves the floating bar responsiveness of floating windows.
Improves the animation when exiting the Quick Settings and Notification drawer for better responsiveness and smoother transitions.
You can now seamlessly open an app from quick functions when the screen is locked.
When notifications are stacked the latest notification will now display a summary showing the number of undisplayed notifications and their sources.
Improves the keyboard layout for more convenient operations and more appealing visuals.
Integrates the June 2025 Android security patch to enhance system security.
