All Signs Point Towards Top-Tier Passport Find N7
I am fully on board with the passport form factor for foldables, and I really enjoyed my time with the Oppo Find N5. While I skipped the Find N6 for a few reasons, recent leaks suggest that the Find N7 might be a much more intriguing device worth keeping an eye on.
A recent post on Weibo from the tech tipster Digital Chat Station dropped some major potential details about Oppo's upcoming foldable plans.
Deciphering the Leaked Specifications
The post mentions a flagship book-folding device, which points toward a shorter and wider passport style layout rather than the taller candy bar design seen on previous iterations.
According to the leak, the prototype features a 7.6-inch Samsung display with a seamless hinge design. The camera setup looks particularly impressive, featuring a 200 megapixel main sensor, a 50 megapixel ultrawide lens, a 50 megapixel periscope lens, and a 3 megapixel multi-spectral sensor. Seeing a full triple camera system on a passport foldable with Hasselblad tuning across all focal lengths would be a welcome departure from devices that settle for basic dual setups.
Looking back at earlier leaks from mid 2026, the rest of the rumors line up nicely: a massive 6,000 mAh battery, full-grade waterproofing, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a next-generation processor.
What This Means for the Launch Timeline
With the Find N6 launching in March, these prototype details give Oppo plenty of time to refine the hardware. Expecting an official release in the first quarter of 2027 makes a lot of sense.
While earlier rumors hinted that Oppo might launch both a wide variant and a standard square foldable, this latest update only focuses on a single device. It is hard to say whether they plan to pivot completely to the passport design or keep both options around, but giving users choice is always the preferred outcome.
As more foldables hit the market, it will be interesting to see how Oppo competes. Share your thoughts on whether the Find N7 design direction sounds appealing to you.
