Galaxy Z Fold 7 Design CONFIRMED, Top Tipster Confirms S Pen

Hey everyone, we’ve got some exciting news to look at regarding the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. We've been seeing renders for a while now, thanks to reliable sources like Android Headlines and the renowned tipster OnLeaks. While these renders looked promising, we always need that final confirmation. Well, today we got it!

Confirmed Design Details

A leaked cardboard display of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has surfaced and it confirms that the renders we've been looking at are incredibly accurate.

Here’s what we can glean by comparing the leaked marketing material to the existing renders:

  • Speaker Placement: The shape and location of the speaker are spot on.

  • Antenna Bands: The positioning of the antenna bands appears to be exact.

  • Wider Cover Display: As rumored for months, the Fold 7 will feature a wider cover display, more akin to a traditional smartphone. This will also mean a wider inner display.

Astonishingly Thin Profile

One of the most striking aspects of this leak is just how incredibly thin the device looks in the cutout. For anyone who doubted Samsung could match the slimness of foldable devices from competitors like Honor Vivo and Oppo, prepare to be amazed.

Referencing a conversation between Ice Universe and OnLeaks about the device's thickness, OnLeaks stated that his CAD render measures:

  • 4.54 mm: Including the protruding bezel.

  • 3.9 mm: Excluding the bezel.

It's important to note that many manufacturers exclude the bezel in their official measurements. For example, the OPPO Find N5, marketed at 4.2 mm, is closer to 4.5 mm when the bezel is included. So, if we're being consistent, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is looking at an astonishing 3.9 mm thickness.

S Pen Functionality Confirmed

I also reached out to another well-known tech leaker, Panda Flash Pro, who has been a reliable source for Samsung news. I asked specifically about S Pen functionality, and they confirmed that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will indeed support the S Pen.

Interestingly, the digitizer seems to be missing, as the display thickness is the same as the Galaxy Z Fold SE (which lacked the S Pen digitizer). This suggests Samsung might be using a new pen technology, likely requiring the pen itself to be powered and charged. While this isn't a 100% official confirmation, Panda Flash Pro has a strong track record, so it's looking very positive for S Pen enthusiasts.

Overall, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is shaping up to be a very exciting device. The confirmed wider screen and incredibly thin design are major highlights. Stay tuned to this channel, as I'll be bringing you every new leak and piece of information about the Z Fold 7 as we get closer to launch and beyond!
