I Got My Hands on a Pixel 10 Pro Fold Case 2 Months Early..
We've had renders of the Pixel 10 Pro Fold since back in March, courtesy of Android Headlines. Those renders showed the device looking very, very similar to the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. And honestly, we typically expect those renders to be quite accurate, but today, we've gotten some additional confirmation that helps solidify what we've been seeing.
Thinborne Case Comparison
Thanks to the kind folds at Thinborne, I recently got my hands on an Aramid Fiber Case for the unannounced Pixel 10 Pro Fold. I will admit that something like this needs to be met with some obvious skepticism. Let’s not forget that cases Pixel 9 Pro Fold had issues from many brands because the Qi coil was lower than expected and case makers that tried to get out front early got a little burned. That being said, Thinborne’s dimensions were correct and I had that case about a month early from them as well.
So, what do we see comparing the 10 Pro Fold case to the 9 Pro Fold? It looks almost identical. I had actually hoped that cases from the 9 might fit the 10, but in this instance, that doesn’t seem possible. For reasons I can’t quite determine, the case just barely fails to fit my 9 Pro Fold. Comparing the 10 case to the 9 case and things again look remarkably close. To confirm things, I used my calipers to measure both cases. Height, width and thickness are all less than 1mm apart which indicates that the Android Headlines report which featured rough dimensions is likely correct.
This suggests that if you like the current size and form factor of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, you're going to be very happy with the Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
