Galaxy Z Fold 7 Razor Thin Bezels and Dimensions Revealed
Back in February of this year, Android Headlines blew the lid off the Galaxy Z Fold 7 with a set of renders and dimensions for the device. At the time, they described the device as being 158.4 x 143.1 x 4.5mm with a 6.5-inch cover display and “about” an 8.2-inch inner display.
As time has passed and more tech tipsters have weighed in, some of these numbers have been thrown into dispute.
Shortly after their post was made, I pointed out that it seemed unlikely to impossible for the Z Fold 7 to have an 8.2-inch screen given it’s dimensions are smaller than the Oppo Find N5 which has an 8.12-inch screen. Ross Young also restated on Twitter that what he had been hearing was an 8-inch screen, something that aligns with the Z Fold Special Edition that the Fold 7 appears to be largely based on.
In a tweet earlier today, Ice Universe claimed that the bezel on the Z Fold 7 would be close to 1mm thick, down from 1.9mm on the Z Fold 6. While I don’t have measurements for the Special Editions bezels, this video shows them looking very similar to that of the Z Fold 6.
Because of this, my assumption is that the Z Fold 7 might indeed have an inner screen that is ever so slightly larger than 8-inches, but not by a large degree. It’s bigger and the bezels are smaller - just about has to have a bigger screen, right?
