New Leak Reveals Galaxy Z Fold 8 Colors
Samsung hasn't shared the official date for the summer Unpacked event yet, but details about the upcoming foldable lineup are already circulating. A recent leak has laid out the color options and storage configurations for the next generation of devices, giving a pretty clear picture of what to expect from the hardware refresh.
The strategy this year centers on two distinct large-screen form factors. Samsung is introducing a wider option launching as the standard Galaxy Z Fold 8, alongside the premium Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, which acts as the direct successor to last year's Fold 7. Looking through the leaked colors, the Royal Blue variant from last year didn't make the cut this time around, which might be a letdown if you liked that specific finish.
To help visualize how these colorways might look on physical hardware, we have put together galleries showing conceptual renders of both devices. Keep in mind that these images are speculative concepts created to show what the final products could look like based entirely on the leaked color names.
Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, carrying model number SM-F976, is the direct continuation of the main flagship line. The color choices for this model lean toward a darker, subtle palette:
Cream
Graphite
Green Shadow
Violet Shadow
Galaxy Z Fold 8
The new addition to the mix is the second, wider form factor. It spent some time in the rumor mill with the nickname Fold 8 Wide, but it looks like it will simply launch as the Galaxy Z Fold 8. Identified by model number SM-F978, the color options are a bit more playful:
Cream
Graphite
Lavender
Pistachio
The base model is the one I personally have my eye on and the Violet color stands out to me. I can say I certainly won’t be going green like I did with my Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Plus, I’d get to replicate the enjoyment of angering all those weirdos who were genuinely upset I bought a Pink Z Fold 6.
Samsung usually holds back a few specific colors as online exclusives on their own website. While this leak doesn't clarify which colors will be widely available at carriers and which ones are web-only, everything should clear up once Samsung shows them off at Unpacked later this summer.
UPDATE
Just this morning, @fahadalijaved has posted wallpapers from the Galaxy Z Fold 8 which to seem to lend credence to the colors shown in the images above.
