Oppo Teaser Video Confirms Find N5 Launch in Two Weeks

Just hours ago the official Oppo Weibo account posted a teaser trailer for the Oppo Find N5 and in it we get several tantalizing looks at the device that should be the sister device to the OnePlus Open 2.

The video seems to show several people looking for the Oppo Find N5 hidden in a decorated room. Based on some crude translating and the timer seen on a table, it seems like the “contestants” (who might be Chinese social media infuencers) were being timed as well. The schtick here is that the Oppo Find N5 is so thin that it can be hind in many different places, making it “too thin to find.” Very clever, Oppo.

Eventually, one of the devices is found sneakily hidden as the minute hand on a clock before several more are found scattered throughout. After that we get our best look yet and just how much thinner this device is compared to the Oppo Find N3 (OnePlus Open) from last generation.

In the post, Oppo also said “See you in two weeks,” which goes along with another Weibo post from Zhou Bao in which he states that this will be the first global simultaneous release occurring in two weeks. The device should launch under the OnePlus branding in the US, but hopefully this means that release won’t be later.

For those who might be behind a bit, this device is looking like an absolute world beater. Measuring in at less than 4.2mm when opened, yet still packing 50w wireless charging and 80w wired charging, a battery in the range of 5,500mAh a triple 50MP camera setup that might debut telephoto macro, IPX8 and IPX9 ratings meaning it can survive high pressure water jets (!) and the snapdragon 8 Elite SOC.

Luckily, the wait is almost over..
