Unihertz Titan 2 Elite Kickstarter Reveals Price, Other Details

The Kickstarter for the Titan 2 Elite went live yesterday and has already seen a significant response. While they were looking for $100,000 to start production, they passed $2.3 million in less than a day. It is clear that the QWERTY audience, while niche, is very active.

You can choose between the standard Titan 2 Elite or the Titan 2 Elite Pro. The standard model runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. If you need more performance, the Pro moves up to a Dimensity 8400 and 512GB of storage.

The pricing is higher than previous Unihertz devices, and the company has been transparent about why. According to their Kickstarter page, the memory market is currently volatile due to AI demand. The costs for DRAM and NAND have increased so much that they claim the CPU price is almost a secondary concern by comparison.

For the standard Titan 2 Elite, early bird pricing is around $397 with an MSRP of $489, and it is expected to ship around June 2026. The Pro model sits at a $486 pledge level with a $579 MSRP, and is estimated to arrive in October 2026.

Both models feature a 4.03 inch AMOLED display, which replaces the old LCD found on the Titan 2. Interestingly, the Clicks Communicator uses a screen with the same dimensions and camera placement, suggesting this 4 inch panel might be the new go-to for keyboard handsets.

The build involves an aluminum midframe that goes through six CNC passes and two anodized treatments. It is available in black or a bright orange. Despite some early rumors, the device does include an SD card slot via a hybrid tray, so you can swap the second SIM for a microSD card up to 2TB.

The keyboard remains the focal point. It is backlit and includes capacitive features like scroll assistance and a mouse mode where you can move the cursor by double tapping the keys. You can also program each key with short and long press shortcuts for different apps.

The camera setup consists of dual 50MP sensors on the back and a 32MP front-facing lens. The specs are decent, but Unihertz has a history of struggling with image processing, so we will have to see if the software has caught up with the hardware this time.

To fit a 4,000mAh battery into this footprint, they are using silicon carbon technology. It supports 33W fast charging, which is a reasonable speed for a battery of this capacity.

One of the more interesting details is the software plan. The Elite is slated to ship with Android 16, and Unihertz is promising five years of update support. They have been relatively quick with Android 16 updates on the current Titan 2, which suggests they might be getting more serious about long term software maintenance.
