After weeks and months of rumors, we appear to have our first bit of concrete information on the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim. Via a post on SmartPrix in collaboration with OnLeaks, we have a set of renders to ogle.

Just How Thin Is It?

This rumored Galaxy S25 Slim is apparently a svelte 6.4mm. To put that into perspective, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is 8.6mm. Heck, most folding phones come in somewhere in the 5mm range and that’s with a whole lot more space to spread components on inside. One interesting thing is that the article says that if you include the camera modules, the total thickness is 8.3mm. That means the camera bump is something like 20% of the total thickness. I don’t know why, but that amuses me. At any rate, a reduction of around 2mm is fairly impressive, even if it’s not obvious to me why you would want to do this.

Talking full measurements, they say that the Slim is approximately 159 x 76 x 6.4mm while the S25 Ultra is said to be 162.8 x 77.6 x 8.2mm.

Specifications

The screen measures somewhere between 6.7 to 6.8” diagonal, making is darn near Ultra-sized. The bezels also do like quite thin, matching what we’ve seen from the other S25 devices. Beyond that, expect a triple camera setup, metal frame, flat sides and a glass back. All in all, looking very much like a Galaxy phone.

Speaking of those cameras, SmartPrix is reporting the S25 Slim will have a 200MP HP5 primary, a 50MP JN5 ultra wide and a 50MP 3.5X telephoto. Not bad at all! This thing really sounds a bit like the S25 Ultra minus the Pen and 5x zoom.. Internally, expect the Snapdragon 8 Elite with 12GB of ram running One UI 7.

Release?

We know the S25 lineup is set to be unveiled on January 22nd with a launch soon after, but it looks like the Slim won’t make that event. Instead, SmartPrix is reporting that the Slim will be arrive sometime around May of 2025. There’s a chance it’ll be shown at the January event.
