The new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 are almost here and as usual that means we're seeing a ton of leaks even before their official launch. Evan Blass, who's shared renders of both phones before, has some new images to show us.

The question of whether or not the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 will feature S Pen compatibility or not has been surprisingly hard to answer. Early leaks indicated that the Fold 7 would be dropping the all-important S Pen digitizer much the same way the Galaxy Z Fold SE did in an attempt to shave off thickness. With the SE, the result was that S Pen use was not an option. Because of this, many have assumed that the Z Fold 7 would also be dropping Pen support in a move that would certainly anger many.

In a new post on Chinese Social Media platform Weibo, one of the most consistently accurate tech tipsters has revealed what Apple’s first folding phone might look like as well as some specs.

The pricing narrative for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 has been a rollercoaster, largely due to the varying reliability of the sources of the leaks and the lack of filtering by the large blogs signal boosting literally everything for clicks. Let’s a take a moment to run through the 3 prominent leaks and see how most of this confusion and consternation could have easily been avoided.

There has been a lot of debate in the comment section about whether or not the Fold 7 have an S Pen and a lot of this seems to come from the fact that the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition removed the S Pen digitizer chasing a thinner form factor. That's the thing that actually allows the pen to function, in order to make the device even thinner. Because of that, the Z Fold Special Edition did not have compatibility with the S Pen.

Tech channel The Sinza has just posted perhaps our best look at the unannounced Galaxy Z Fold 7 in the form of a dummy unit. While it’s important to note than a dummy unit like this is likely to have some small differences from the real thing, the dimensions are apparently pretty spot on.

When it comes to the form factor of a phone, everyone is going to have their own preferences for things like height, width, thickness, and weight. We're all going to have our own preferences, and each of these things are going to be weighted differently depending on what it is you actually do prefer. For me, when it comes to these folding phones, all I really wanted was to get to the point where we are about as thick as a standard phone when closed, and maybe just as importantly, where we weigh what a normal phone weighs.

As exciting as the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is, anytime I talk about it my comment section is immediately flooded with lamentations over the size and charging speed of the battery. We now exist in a world where devices that are close to 4mm thick have batteries in the range of 6,000mAh which also happen to charge at speeds bordering on incomprehensible.

In a post on Weibo teasing the impossibly thin Vivo X Fold5, we got a glimpse of a new multitasking interface that looks totally different than anything we’ve seen on Android before.
