The foldable phone scene is getting exciting with two new players rumored to be on the way: the Vivo X Fold 5 and the Honor Magic V5. Both are expected to bring some serious tech to the table, but let's break down the whispers to see how they might stack up.

The foldable phone arms race continues to heat up and Vivo is set to introduce its latest contender the X Fold 5. Expected to debut in China this month with a global rollout to follow in early July, Vivo appears ready to make an impression with its specifications in an increasingly competitive market.

Earlier this year the Oppo Find N5 became perhaps the most impressive overall folding phone available with a 4.2mm body that didn’t prevent Oppo from packing in a large 5,600mAh battery. However, according to a new leak from Yogesh Brar, the upcoming Vivo X Fold 5 appears set to compete at the top tier of the foldable smartphone market.

Not to be outdone, Samsung seems to have their own two-hinged folding device in the works as well. According the patents and other leaks, their Galaxy G Fold could feature a design that sees both hinges fold inward to fully protect the fragile folding glass. Users will have an independent cover display to use when it’s closed. While this should be the phone more durable, it will also remove the three-form-factor capability of the Mate XT.
