A couple of days ago I wrote a piece here going over a recent report from Android Headlines that predicted a series of price changes for the Pixel 10 Series of devices. These rumors are now being cast very much in doubt by some unfortunate facts.

One small detail that came along with the revealing of renders for the upcoming Pixel 10 Pro Fold was the possibility of a price drop. In the original article from Android Headlines they said “Other sources have indicated that the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold will be offered at a lower price point this year.” I guess Android Headlines has been doing some digging on that question because today they’re back with another article that talks about pricing for the Pixel 10 line and beyond.

Samsung is reportedly gearing up to launch its highly anticipated Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 foldable smartphones with a new version of One UI based on Android 16. The move marks a welcome shift after many users expressed frustration regarding the delayed rollout of the current One UI 7 (Android 15) update. Even now, most Samsung users are waiting for One UI 7 to bring Android 15 to their devices, months and months after Google rolled the update out. To make matters worse, the S24 series launched with One UI 7 several months back and yet the older devices are still left waiting.

The Galaxy S25 was supposed to be a flop – iterative, lacking features, and relying too heavily on AI. Yet, it shattered records in South Korea, and initial reports showed it outselling its predecessor by a landslide. But a deeper dive into the numbers reveals a baffling contradiction: daily post-launch sales figures that simply don't align with the reported totals. How can a phone sell more units per day after launch than its entire first-month sales figure? The answer, it seems, is a mystery wrapped in conflicting data.

The saga of Samsung's intriguing Multi-Fold device, now dubbed the Galaxy G Fold, continues to unfold. From a revealing patent in January, showcasing a unique triple-folding design, to a blurry render leaked in February, the device has captured the attention of tech enthusiasts. Now, new information has surfaced, confirming model numbers and regional availability, raising questions about its potential global release. With whispers of a Q3 or Q4 launch, the G Fold's journey from patent to reality is becoming increasingly clear, though its availability may be limited initially.

When the renders for the Google Pixel 10 Series of phones first leaked there was one detail that stood out above the rest. The base model Pixel 10 quite clearly featured a periscope telephoto camera which it had never had in the past. That telephoto camera had always been one of the primary ways Google differentiated the base model from the Pro and Pro XL models.

Because of this, there was a ton of speculation. How would Google differentiate the Base from the Pro now? Would the Pixel 10’s telephoto be a downgraded version? If so, how bad will it be? Now, thanks to Android Authority, we seem to have answers to these questions.

Even though I’ve spent a lot more time here covering the Galaxy Z Fold7, I have to acknowledge that the Galaxy Z Flip series is the better selling of the two. Coming in at darn near a grand less expensive and in a form factor that more people probably enjoy, the Z Flip has been Samsung’s entry point into foldables nearly from the start.

The foldable smartphone market, which has struggled to become mainstream, is now facing an unexpected drop. After slow growth for years, it is expected to decline for the first time in 2025. After a 2.9% increase in 2024, a 4% decrease is predicted for 2025, which is concerning, but doesn’t paint the full picture of what’s going on and what’s to come. This decline occurs despite growth from brands like Huawei, Motorola, HONOR, and Xiaomi.

Yesterday when we shared renders of the Pixel 10 Pro Fold one important detail was rather auspiciously missing - the dimensions. Today, Android Headlines has quietly updated their article to add that information.

I don’t normally spend any time talking about Apple products, but it seems like the rumors around a folding iPhone are finally heating up to the degree that it makes sense to dive in a bit - even if my main concern isn’t specifically that phone.
